We are very proud of our developments and achievements in the important area of nutrition. When you stop and think about it, food is a major part of our lives. Consider all the time spent shopping, packing and sorting food, preparing the meals and then of course eating!
That’s the way we view catering for your child/ren, it is important. So we won’t serve up the bare basics.
Our chef has trained our staff on some of the secrets to building tasty flavour profiles that kids love like the techniques to build the perfect pasta sauce, how to make a pizza dough that the yeast doesn’t ferment in children’s stomachs and the little known wonder of changing pasta from a carbohydrate to a resistant starch. (Food science talk for, your child can eat pasta for afternoon tea be fully satisfied and be hungry again for the family dinner, plus they wont stack on weight)
Nutrition Australia were so thrilled about our menu innovations and approach that they used big childcare as a case study. We offer 2 week rotating menus designed by our very own Chef who listens to the children’s requests that provide Fruit, Vegetables, Carbohydrates, Grain and Dairy for your child. These menus feature Winter and Summer selections, and because food is a big deal, we build the children’s anticipation weeks out and then launch the new seasons offerings. Of course Melbourne being Melbourne means we can have 4 seasons in one day so our teams are always ready to flex with the weather and make sure our guests are enjoying hot food when it’s cold and vice versa.
